The North Star Academy is devoted to providing a comprehensive, multidisciplinary education program for students where teaching procedures are based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Supports are designed to address the unique learning characteristics of each student.  Our positive learning environments include: intensive one-on-one instruction, educational curriculum, socialization skills, language and communication development, functional skills, leisure, community and independent living skills, job coaching and vocational skills, technology, health and safety. Academic and behavioral assessments are conducted to determine the most appropriate supports for each individual student and their family. Our focus is on increasing socially validated behaviors and assisting students to reach their full potential and their goals. 

Through our evidence-based teaching strategies at The North Star Academy, we strive to provide an inclusive setting where students can develop connections, and foster friendships. This one-of-a-kind center of care combines the essential ingredients of one-student to one-staff ratios, enriched settings, state of the art technology, and a compassionate, highly trained staff.
